The  Stuart Fire Dept. (Co26) and the Patrick Springs Fire Dept. (Co23) joined together for a special vehicle extracation class,sponsered by (Co26). The class was taught by David Pease Chief of the (REDS TEAM) a specialized rescue extracation delivery team based in Garner NC. assisting David was his Asst. Chief Stuart Ferrell a 20 year veteran of the rescue service.Both depts learned many different techniques as to how to stabalize and rxtracate victims from motor vehicles.                  MISSION STATEMENT

       The Stuart Volunteer Fire Department is dedicated to the protection of life and property within the Town of stuart and the surrounding areas.Our duties are to educate the public in fire prevention;handle all aspects of fire fighting;hazardous materials incidents as appropriate;and to assist with motor vehicle accidents and other incidents as needed.We are (Company 26) within the Patrick County Emergency Services structure.

We are dedicated to training and educating ourselves to the standards of the NATIONAL FIRE PROTECTION AGENCY,the Virginia Department of Fire Programs and beyond.Our members carry the responsibility of this department in every aspect,including administrative and maintenance duties,in a selfless manner for the betterment of our community.

We discharge our duties in a manner that reflects positively upon our state,our county,our town,our department and ourselves.
