The Stuart Volunteer Fire Department is dedicated to the protection of life and property within the Town of Stuart and the surrounding areas. Our duties are to educate the public in fire prevention, handle all aspects of fire fighting, hazardous materials incidents as appropriate, and to assist with motor vehicle accidents and other incidents as needed. We are Company 26 within the Patrick County Emergency Services structure.

We are dedicated to training and educating ourselves to the standards of the National Fire Protection Agency, the Virginia Department of Fire Programs and beyond. Our members carry the responsibility of this department in every aspect, including administrative and maintenance duties, in a selfless manner for the betterment of our community.
